Baby Belly!
Ok Penny this is just for you! I've had lots of requests for belly pictures and this is the first one worth posting. I haven't really been showing until just recently I have such a long torso the baby had plenty of room to grow up so he didn't have to grow out and make me fat. Well now he is making me baby fat and it's great! I'm so happy to look pregnant now and not just fat!

Hairy Steven and a Baby Name
On a different note, and much more important one, we have chosen a name for the baby! His name is going to be Jace Raisor. We do hold the right to change it though. If he comes out and he is obviously not a Jace then we will change it, but hopefully we got it right. We still are working on a middle name so if anyone has a suggestion drop us a line and we might consider it. Just think, if we decided we like it you can brag about naming our kid.

Our First Baby Pictures
Our baby's Spine
Cute Little Fingers
Our baby dressed up as an alien for Halloween! That's the Baby's face scary huh!
Hurray! It's a BOY!!!
At first he had his little legs crossed so we couldn't see what was there (or what wasn't there) so the nurse had to push extra hard on my tummy to get him to move so we could see. Finally right at the end of the ulrasound he moved just enough so we could see that it was a BOY! He will be the first boy on my side (my sister has 3 little girls) And Scott's baby jones will have a cousin to play with. We are so thrilled!

Lake Trip!!!
Steven got thrown off the Tube and racked himself on the water needless to say he wasn't a happy camper after that. Hence the sad face!
I even got to do a little knee boarding. Steven really didn't like that at all! But it's ok all the books say that the baby is well protected by your pelvic bones at first. There is no way I would do this in my 3rd trimester.
Yes that is me Crazy I know Steven didn't want me to but it was just so fun I couldn't help myself and I convinced my mom and Natalie to go with me and they went really slowly so I wouldn't hurt myself or the baby how can anyone pass that up?

My new love
Mindy loves California Rolls! Crazy I know. Lately I have been even more sick than usual and it got to a point where I couldn’t even keep water down. So Mom to the rescue! I called my mom who called my aunt who is training to be a midwife and asked her a few tricks of the trade. My aunt listed off all the natural/herbal remedies for morning sickness.
Peppermint
Ginger
Norwegian Kelp (seaweed)
Rice
Catnip
Ice cubes
Red raspberry
Then we figured out that

Our New Office!
Before in our 2nd bedroom the room acted as our catch-all room. (Lots of people I know have a catch-all drawer, we had a whole room!) Anything that we didn't need or were currently using was haphazardly thrown in and the door was shut as fast as possible. We knew we were going to have to clean it eventually and we recently discovered our apartment had outside storage (Yay) so it seemed like a good time.
We bought a brand new beautiful L-shaped desk and Steven and I spent many hours cleaning out the room, putting things in storage and setting up the desk. (Steven did most of the work of course I’m Pregnant and Sick I don’t have to do anything I don’t want too it’s my right). Anyhow… he did such a great job that I thought you all should see it!
Now that we have a beautiful clean baby room/ office we can start collecting all of our baby essentials like cribs and changing tables and all that jazz. We were smart and gave ourselves plenty of time to collect all the necessities. (I think 6 months is plenty of time).

Another Doctor Visit
Our doctor did everything she could to try to hear it. She put all kinds of goopy crap on my tummy and moved the Doppler around for like 10 min, but no heart beat. We were so sad! The doctor thought it just might be too early to hear it, especially since I've been so sick it might have slowed the baby's growth. She also said that it could be that the placenta is just in the way and the baby is hiding behind it.
So we'll try again at our next visit , in another month, and if we don't hear it this time they are going to order us an ultrasound. Let's just hope we can hear it!

Vegetarian Baby
Unfortunately for me I'm the kind of person that it takes a lot for me to actually throw up. So rather than be nauseous and throw up, and then feel better... lucky me just gets to be nauseous 24/7.
I've decided it would be too long of a list to spell out ALL the things I can't eat. Soo... I've narrowed it down to categories, and they are...
1 No Meat of any kind
2 Nothing that gives off any kind of smell
3 No Jamba Juice (Learned that the hard way)
4 Nothing Greasy (All my usual favorites french fries, cheese sticks etc.)
Now you're probably thinking that doesn't leave much to eat. Well you're absolutely right! I am finding it more and more difficult to find foods that don't make me hurl. Once you've seen it in reverse it never really tastes as good again. I am happy to report that I have found temporary solace in Otter Pops and Power aid. (Breakfast of champions I know!) On the bright side I haven't gained any weight yet!
I am hoping that this all day (not just morning) sickness is just the first trimester. Otherwise I am in BIG trouble! Well if your eating any thing while you are reading this, please enjoy it for me at least someone should!

Baby's first visit to the Doctor
Except for the fact that we waited over an hour for our appointment it went rather smoothly. They asked us all kinds of questions about our family history of birth defects and genetic disorders and such and we didn't have to many which was great! We are proud to report that we are both very healthy and come from very healthy families.
After a bunch more questions then the poking and prodding began! Yikes I'll spare you the details! One thing that shocked me was how much of my blood they needed for all their tests! They filled up like 7 different vials of the stuff! Man I didn't know having a baby cost so much blood!
We have another appointment in 4 weeks just for a check up. I'm sad to say that we only get 1 ultrasound at 18 weeks so we won't get to have any cool pictures until then. I guess that 's what you get for being poor! We'll keep everyone posted as the weeks go by we're praying for a boy just in case any one wants to join in! =)

Oh Baby!
Oh Baby the Raisors are having a baby! I was making myself breakfast the other day and I leaned over the stove to smell the omelet I was cooking and I got instantly nauseous. I thought to myself "that isn't normal" so I took a pregnancy test. The first time I took it the reading was negative so I didn't think much of it. Then when I got nauseous the next morning I decided to take another look at the test. This time I saw a faint second line. So I had to go out and get a new test and Ta Dah! Pregnant! I know everyone tells you to wait a few months before telling everyone but we are just so excited we can't hold it in! WE'RE HAVING A BABY!!!!

Happy Birthday Steven!
Last Friday July 6th was Steven's 24th Birthday! We all celebrated by going to Famous Daves by the Chandler Mall. We had BBQ and Ribs and tons of free ice cream. Steven also magically droped 100lbs and 10 inches at midnight kind of like turning into a pumpkin but not! He got a masage table, the new fergie cd, a gift card to the mall, some new shorts and lots of X-Men for his birthday! Thanks to everyone who remembered him on his special day! HAPPY BIRTHDAY STEVEN!!!
ROAD TRIP!!!
The last weekend in June we went on a ROAD TRIP BABY!!! We took along our friends and neighbors Matt and Rachel for some California fun! Steven got a free 2 night stay in a timeshare from someone at his work in Lake Arrowhead California. Now I was under the impression that this was going to be a beach vacation... boy was I wrong. We ended up at over 6000 ft in the cool mountains surrounding lake arrowhead. In my mind it was even better than the beach. It was 80 degrees and beautiful during the day and much cooler in the 60's at night. I almost wished I had brought a jacket. Seriously it was so much fun to just have a few days to relax and get away I highly reccomend it! Oh and before I forget, Mindy is the all time poker queen. I am proud to say that I beat everyone at our almost 4hour poker challenge! Instead of playing for money we played for favors and now Rachel owes me a massage! Go Me!

Spring Break
About house shopping; taking it slowly, our lease is through august so we are not in a rush. Plus everything is so darn tooting expensive, we want to make sure we find the best deal for us. Other than that nothing new to report. Scott and Penny's baby is so a boy! it is the awsomest.
